Panel of community housing providers for Auckland social housing services

As the purchaser of IRRS places for people in social housing need, MSD is looking to diversify ownership and broker growth of the social housing market, particularly in Auckland, which should result in more innovation and responsiveness to tenants and communities.

As part of this MSD wants to create a panel of community housing providers (CHPs) who are keen to partner with other parties to help people with high housing needs access affordable, well maintained IRRS properties.

The aim of the panel is to simplify and speed up CHPs’ ability to participate in the provision of social housing with tenancy and asset management services.

MSD’s Auckland based business development team can help broker partnerships among CHPs, developers and investors to enable MSD to secure the social housing places it needs to meet demand in this rapidly growing market.

Proposals will be accepted on an ongoing basis up until 25 November 2016, with providers notified of the outcome of their proposal within 6 weeks of submission.

The panel will remain in place until 31 July 2017.

Those CHPs interested in joining the panel can find a copy of the Invitation to Partner on the GETs website.
